SEVERAL teams in the Premier Volleyball League have returned to their training ahead of the resumption of the All-Filipino Conference on Jan. 18, among them the Farm Fresh Foxies who are out to bolster their bid.
Last Monday, the Foxies showed up at their training gym in Mandaluyong City to prepare for their Jan. 18 match against the Nxled Chameleons at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
“First training day of 2025,” Farm Fresh posted on its social media account. “Welcome back to your second home, Farm Fresh Foxies! May this year be kind, abundant in great things and blessed for every single one of us who belongs to this family.
“Let the grind continue!” the team added beside a photo of the Foxies.
The Foxies went into the holiday break with two wins and three losses and the team aims to bring more resiliency and maturity into the court, according to their ace spiker Trisha Tubu.
“Hindi kami dapat bumibigay kahit malayo na iyong score. May mga times na malayo na iyong score namin, pero nahahabol pa kami. ‘Yun and needed namin, maturity,” the power hitter said.
“‘Yung errors naming, sobrang dami. ‘Yun ang trinabaho naming. Ayaw mag-rest ni coach kaya ayaw din naming mag-rest kasi mas mabigat ang mga kalaban namin (pagbalik).”
Looking back on what happened last year, including the arrival of coach Benson Bocboc, the 24-year-old opposite spiker is confident that Farm Fresh has what it takes to reach the top.
“Challenge sa akin ‘yun at masayang challenge. We are growing as a team. Iba na ang system. Challenge kung papano kami mag-recruit ng ibang players,” Tubu said.
“Tulong-tulong kami, sa bawat part namin, and the challenge there is the progress we make as team.”
