CHERY Tiggo yesterday officially welcomed veteran middle blocker Risa Sato to its roster in time for the resumption of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference next week.

The 30-year-old blocker spent six years with multi-champion Creamline Cool Smashers and brings with her tons of experience.

“To our newest addition to our growing family, welcome. Your skills and energy are a game-changer and we can’t wait to have you on the court with us,” Chery Tiggo said in a social media.

Sato, a Fil-Japanese, had a big hand in the Cool Smashers’ 10 title wins in six years.

Last November, Sato requested an early contract termination with Creamline and her wish was granted last December.

The former National University star will start with Crossovers stars Aby Marano, Ara Galang, Mylene Paat, Jen Nierva, Cess Robles, and Pauline Gaston.

Before the All-Filipino Conference, Chery Tiggo parted ways with wing spiker EJ Laure and Buding Duremdes.

The Norman Miguel-mentored Crossovers will resume their All-Filipino bid next Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena against the Petro Gazz Angels.

Chery Tiggo is running fourth with a 4-2 win-loss record.
