CREAMLINE made short work of Nxled 25-12, 25-21, 25-19 yesterday for its sixth straight win in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
The five-peat-seeking Cool Smashers raised their record to a clean 6-0 mark, thanks to the efforts of open spiker Bernadeth Pons who sizzled with 13 points and 12 digs.
Playmaker Kyle Negrito dished out 15 excellent sets along with three points while Tots Carlos fired 10 markers in Creamline’s 16th straight win since the second round of the Reinforced Conference.
Prior to the victory, the Cool Smashers were awarded with a special citation in the annual San Miguel Corporation-Philippine Sportswriters Association Awards Night last Monday night at the Manila Hotel for their successful 2024 campaign where they completed a rare Grand Slam.
Middle blocker Jaycel Delos Reyes paced the Chameleons with seven points as Nxled absorbed their eight straight loss in the conference, 15th consecutive setback since the Reinforced Conference.
