WITH rigorous preparation and trusting the system, the Cignal HD Spikers proved that anything is possible in the PVL On Tour.
For the first time since 2022, the HD Spikers pulled off a victory against the fancied Creamline Cool Smashers 25-22, 25-18, 28-26 last Tuesday to remain unbeaten in Pool B with a 3-0 mark.
Thanks to the heroics of opposite spiker Erika Santos, setter Gel Cayuna and open spiker Ishie Lalongisip, Cignal snapped its series of heartbreaks against Creamline where it last won against the Cool Smashers in the 2022 Reinforced Conference semifinals.”Sobrang happy, siyempre. Hindinamin in-expect talagana ma-straight set (namin iyong Creamline). Butang good thing issobrang nakaka-proud iyong team, coaches and players, and even iyongmanagement din sa support,” HD Spikers coach Shaq delos Santos said. “Kung paanokami nag-prepare. Sobranghappy kami kasi pinushtalaga nila na magawa, well, nag-commit ng error butang good thing kasi paano maka-bounce back.
“So, iyon, magiging ano namin ito, magiging bala pa namin paramag-improve pa kami,” he added.
The veteran mentor bared that the victory will surely boost the confidence of the HD Spikers as they bolster their rebuilding squad.
Before the tournament, Cignal welcomed four newcomers and three rookies to its team, hoping they would bring the HD Spikers to glory days.

“Siyempre ano ito, malakingbagay sa amin knowingna kahit sinong team naman, iyon naman iyong goal, talunin kung sino iyong nasa top. So, para sa amin, malaking impact ko na dadalhin namin, especially itong On Tour na ito,” delos Santos said.
