CHOCO Mucho ace Kat Tolentino is expected to miss several weeks in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference as she recovers from an operation for a ruptured appendix recently.
The team bared last Tuesday that the veteran opposite spiker was taken to the hospital last Monday for severe abdominal pains and was later diagnosed with a ruptured appendix.
“(Tuesday), she was diagnosed with a ruptured appendix and had to undergo surgery this afternoon,” Choco Mucho said in a statement. “Let’s all pray for her quick and full recovery.”
Last November, the 29-year-old hitter revealed she was dealing with an auditory condition in her left ear.
Tolentino contributed three points in Choco Mucho’s five-set victory over Zus Coffee Thunderbelles last Saturday 20-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-9.
As of Tuesday, Tolentino was in the top 12 best scorers of the conference with 79 points.
The Flying Titans are currently running tied for sixth in the standings with a 4-3 win-loss record, the same record of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
