GALERIES Tower boosted its roster by picking middle blocker Jean Asis in the PVL rookie Draft over the weekend.
Asis was selected with the second overall pick by the Highrisers who hope the 5-foot-10 former Far Eastern University standout can promptly make an impact.
Asis, 22, is out to show her worth for Galeries Tower.
“Sobrang saya po. Ang dami namin, pero ako iyong nabigyan ng chance na maging second pick. Sobrang thankful sa coaches ng Galeries na pinagkatiwalaan nila ako sa posisyon na ito,” Asis said.
“Siguro for me, bilang balik, I’ll do my best po sa mga trainings and upcoming games,” she added.
Asis said she’s ready to help the Highrisers achieve their goals as success remains elusive for the two-year old squad.
“Since I have experience na rin sa FEU from eighth to Final Four, siguro I want to help din iyong Galeries na tumaas din iyong rank sa PVL,” she said.
“Hindi siya madali, pero we will try our best asa team na ma-achieve iyong ganoong goal.”
Galeries has yet to reach the podium in the pro league since joining the PVL in 2023.
The best finish that the Highrisers achieved was a quarterfinals stint in the 2024-2025 All-Filipino Conference where the they ended at eighth place.
Asis will join forces with Julia Coronel, Roselle Baliton, Jewel Encarnacion, and Carly Hernandez for the Lerma Giron-mentored Galeries Tower.
