WITH super rookie Shaina Nitura leading the way, Adamson’s Lady Falcons humbled the University of the East Lady Warriors yesterday 25-23, 25-16, 25-13 in the 87th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Nitura had a double-double of 18 points and 11 digs on top of two receptions while Frances Mordi and MayangNuique added 11 and nine markers, respectively, as Adamson improved to 2-1 while handing UE its third straight loss.
“We thank the Lord sapanalongayon and sa safety ng mgabata. Nataposiyong game nawalang injury. Adamson had 41 attacks compared to UE’s 27 while also dominating blocks and service aces with nine and five, respectively.
Opposite hitter Van Bangayan and outside spiker KC Cepada had 11 and 10 points, respectively, for UE.
Adamson guns for its second straight victory when it meets the UST Golden Tigresses on Saturday at the same venue while UE collides with defending champion NU Lady Bulldogs.
