TEAM Veolia sustained its big charge last Tuesday night, humbling host team Jho Bulls 9-4 for the early Group A lead in the Metro Manila Invitational Darts League at the Jho Bulls Darts Club in Barangay Damayan, Quezon City.
Wilem of Marikina and 21 Batch also scored big wins over Darts Underground and Sapul 1 via the same score 8-5 to keep in step with Team Veolia at 2-0 in Group A of the 18-team tournament.
Along with its 12-1 over the MDC/BDM team last week, Team Veolia improved its running total to 21 points, two points ahead of Wilem and six over 21 Batch.
Rounding up the standings in Group A are Darts Underground (1-1) with 15 points, Asprec 2 (1-1, 13), Sapul 1 (0-2, 8), Masambong Darts Club (0-2, 7), Jho Bulls (0-1, 4) and Team Aiden (0-1, 2).
Action last Wednesday night saw Barrabida winning by default over Tioco (13-0), Sapul 2 edging Panda 7-6, El Tigre nipping Navotas Darts Club 7-6, and Asprec 1 beating Jho Bulls 2.
Barrabida took the lead in Group B with a 2-0 record and 23 points, followed by Asprec 1 (2-0, 22) and El Tigre (0-2, 18).
Dustin 24 was running fourth (1-0, 7), followed by Sapul 2 (1-1, 9), Panda (0-2, 12), Navotas (0-2, 9), Jho Bulls 2 (0-1, 2) and Tioco (0-2, 2).
