UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas seeks its second straight win when it takes on skidding Ateneo today in the 85th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
Game time is at 3 p.m., with the Golden Tigresses trying to improve their 3-2 mark and the Blue Eagles hoping to snap a three-game losing skid.
UST notched its third win after sweeping University of the Philippines 25-17, 25-23, 25-20 last Saturday.
Skipper Eya Laure, along with Milena Alessandrini, KC Galdones, Imee Hernandez, Cassie Carballo and Regina Jurado are expected to lead the Tigresses.
Ateneo fell to Adamson University 25-18, 25-23, 25-19 last Sunday.
Hoping to bring the Blue Eagles back into the winner’s circle are team captain Faith Nisperos, Vanie Gandlers, Takako Fujimoto, Lyann De Guzman, AC Miner, and Joan Narit.
