UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas ripped Emilio Aguinaldo College 25-13, 25-19, 25-15 to notch its third straight win in the Shakey’s Super League yesterday at the Rizal Sports Coliseum.
Pierre Angeli Abellana finished with 19 points for the Lady Golden Tigresses, while Bianca Mikaela Plaza delivered eight markers.
Ma. Cassandra Carballo and Xyza Rufel Gula contributed seven points each for the UST which remained perfect in three starts in Pool B.
“Medyo masaya siyempre nakakapag-execute kami ng tama. Ang kailangan nalang mas maging consistent sa ginagawa namin,” Tigresses coach Kungfu Reyes said/
“Especially doon sa mga second unit namin na mas maging eager pa sila na tumaas iyong level ng skills, experience at least magamit nila dito especially papasok ng next round,” he added.
In one of the other games, Adamson University blasted Lyceum 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.
Kate Santiago fired 17 points, while Antonette Adolfo contributed 15 markers for the Lady Falcons.
Johna Dolorito and Venice Puzon had eight and seven kills, respectively, for the Lady Pirates.
