GOING big for what could be a big-time redemption bid.
University of the Philippines announced last Tuesday it acquired 6-foot-10 center Quentin Millora-Brown for the 87th UAAP basketball tournament set to start in September.
Fighting Maroons coach Goldwin Monteverde is convinced Millora-Brown would bolster his squad.
“Malaking bagay na naman para sa atin iyong pagpasok niya,” Monteverde said. “Makakatulong siya to step up para sa pagkawala ni Malick (Diouf).”
Added UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development director Bo Perasol: “We have been talking with Quentin for a while now. We’ve visited him a couple of times since 2019.
“We are beyond happy and really excited to finally have him in the team for next season.”
The Fil-Am big man last saw action for The Citadel in United States NCAA Division 1 play where he averaged 11.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.5 blocks.
