UNIVERSITY of the East will stake its hold of titles in all four divisions when the UAAP Season 86 Fencing Championships commence on Thursday at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila.
The Red Warriors’ men’s team will be gunning for a 10th consecutive title beginning with the individual sabre and the individual epee on the said day.
Meanwhile, the women’s squad will aim for a three-peat, starting with the individual foil in the opener.
On the other hand, UE’s high school teams will look to extend their reign with an unbroken streak of 12 championships in the Boys’ and 10 tiaras in the Girls’.
The Junior Red Warriors look to continue lording it over, commencing with duels in boys’ individual epee, girls’ individual foil, and boys’ individual sabre.
The other individual events will be tackled the following day, while team events close the competitions on Saturday and Sunday.
