BUOYED by a big title triumph in Leg 6, TNT gained the No. 2 seeding behind top-ranked Cavitex in the positioning for the PBA 3×3 Season 3 First Conference grand finals this Sunday at Market Market! in Taguig.
The Triple Giga bagged their second Leg crown in the season-opening conference at the expense of the Braves 21-17 that netted them the maximum 100 tour points to tally 390 and displace Ginebra in second at the end of the eliminations.
Despite falling short of a three-peat, the Leg 4 and 5-winning Braves took the top spot in the battle for conference honors with their 490-point aggregate.
The Kings, who began the season with back-to-back Leg victories, wound up third after the six-leg preliminaries with 378 points.
Meralco, powered by a fourth-place finish in Leg 6, rounded out the Top 4 with 345 points.
As incentives for finishing in the Top 4, Cavitex, TNT, Ginebra and the Bolts advanced directly to the quarterfinals.
The six other teams that qualified for the grand finals will go through pool action to dispute the four remaining Last 8 berths.
