THE Alas Pilipinas national women’s volleyball team repeated its bronze medal win in the 4th SEA V.League second Leg in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
The Jorge Souza de Brito-mentored Pinay spikers notched third place anew after scoring a 20-25, 25-20, 16-25, 25-20, 15-10 decision over Indonesia over the weekend.
Collegiate star Alyssa Solomon, along with veterans Sisi Rondina, Jema Galanza, Dawn Macandili, and Jia De Guzman shone for Alas during the match.
Alas also wound up third in the first Leg last month in Vietnam after also beating the Indonesians.
Thailand tripped Vietnam 25-22, 25-17, 19-25, 25-15 for the gold.
Thailand ace Moksri Chatchu-on was hailed as MVP and Best Outside Spiker while her teammates Nuekjang Thatdao and Guedpard Pornpun were named Best Middle Blocker and Best Setter, respectively.
Vietnamese Vi Thi Nhu Quynh and Nguyen Khanh Dang received the Best Outside Spiker and Best Libero plums, respectively, as Sugandi Wilda Siti Nurfadhilah of Indonesia took also the Best Middle Blocker award.
