IN dire straits, San Sebastian College showed up with its A-Game to snap out of its slump the last time out.
The Lady Stags try to do that anew and keep their Final Four bid alive when they clash with the winless Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals today in the 95th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
The match is set at 2 o’clock after the curtain-raiser between Lyceum and Mapua University at noon.
After losing its first five outings, San Sebastian crashed the winner’s circle via a 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 drubbing of the Lady Cardinals last Jan. 31.
The likes of Veronica Carreon, Shane Requireme, and Amaka Tan are expected to lead the Lady Stags as they aim to improve their 1-5 card.
EAC has lost 15 straight, including a winless 0-9 campaign last season.
The Lady Generals are reeling from a 15-25, 16-25, 25-27 defeat to San Beda University last Feb. 3.
With a 0-5 record, EAC will pin its hopes on Cathrine Almazan, Dhariane Gallardez, and Lauren Cabrera.
Lyceum absorbed a 28-26, 27-25, 16-25, 19-25, 14-16 setback at the hands of Letran last Jan. 31.
Alexandra Rafael, Monica Sevilla, and Mary Joy Onofre will be counted upon by the Lady Pirates to raise their 2-4 slate and tie idle Jose Rizal University at sixth.
