BOOSTED by a Top 10 finish in the Tokyo Olympics, reigning US Women’s Open champion Yuka Saso has soared to No. 8 in the Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings.

Saso, 20, jumped two rungs up in the rankings after winding up in joint ninth in the women’s golf tournament at the Kasumigaseki Country Club.

The Filipino-Japanese star finished with a 10-under par 274 after a blazing 65 in the final round.

American Nelly Korda, who bagged the gold in Tokyo, remained at No. 1.

Bronze medalist Lydia Ko also climbed to ninth, from 11th while Minjee Lee of Australia moved back to 10th after finishing 29th.

Three South Korean golfers — Jin Young Ko, In Bee Park, and Sei Young Kim — were running second, third, and fourth followed by another American bet Danielle Kang at fifth.

Saso tallied 200.39 points on 34 events played.

Born in San Ildefonso, Bulacan, Saso is set to compete in the Women’s Scottish Open this week.
