Kimberly Manzano and Trisha Paras also combined for 14 points, while setter Lynne Matias had 19 excellent sets for San Beda, which snapped a two-game losing skid and improved to 4-2.

EAC remained winless in six outings and 15 overall dating back to last season.

In the other match, Jose Rizal University blasted Mapua University 25-18, 25-18, 31-29 for its second straight victory.

Team captain Dolly Grace Verzosa scattered 17 points off 15 spikes, while Sydney Niegos had 10 hits as the Lady Bombers rose to 3-4 for sixth.

The Lady Cardinals slipped to 1-5 in a tie with San Sebastian College.

“Medyo nakabawi kami kasi galing kami sa dalawang magkasunod na talo. Kinausap ko iyong seniors, lalo na iyong mga last playing year na nila. Kailangan lang trabahuin and kailangan hindi dito matapos (their careers),” said San Beda coach Nemesio Gavino Jr.

Added the 5-foot-7 Racraquin: “Actually, kahit naman natalo kami noong last two games, ang sinasabi lang ng coaches namin ay huwag kaming mado-down because hindi pa naman tapos ang season and losses mean marami pa kaming butas na dapat punan sa team namin.”
