FORMER Sta. Lucia star Mika Reyes admitted the sincerity of the PLDT Home Fibr camp in trying to link up with her and the team’s need for middle blockers convinced her to sign with the High Speed Hitters for the coming PVL season.

“Unang-una, siyempre malaking factor iyong team composition kasi PLDT was looking for middles,” Reyes said.

“Tapos out of all teams that made an offer, sila sir Bajjie (Del Rosario, team manager) ang talagang naramdaman ko who really wants me. Nagulat ako na sobrang interested nila na kunin ako sa team so I’m very grateful,” she added.

The charming 6-foot Reyes also said suiting up for new PLDT coach George Pascua excites her.

“To be honest, never ko pa siya nakasama. Magandang experience ito for me to adjust sa system niya,” Reyes said of Pascua.

“Especially now na target is next month mag-start, kailangan mag-adapt ako kaagad sa system niya. Nagtitiwala ako sa goals niya for the team and same sa bago kong mga teammates.”

In PLDT, the Pulilan, Bulacan native reunites with prized setter Rhea Dimaculangan, with whom she won three titles during their stint with Petron from 2017-2019.
