CANDON City hosted the Premier Volleyball League for the first time in the All-Filipino Conference doubleheader, which saw F2 Logistics and PetroGazz emerge triumphant.
The Cargo Movers defeated Galeries Tower, 25-15, 25-22, 25-17, while the Angels topped Nxled, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22, in front of 5,251 fans at the brand-new Candon City Arena on Saturday.
Prior to the third leg of the PVL on Tour, the four clubs had a meet and greet at the University of Ilocos Philippines last Friday, with over 1,000 students attending the affair.
A lucky few had the opportunity to ask questions to their favorite PVL stars.
Additionally, there was a two-day referees’ clinic conducted by international referee Jeffrey Lopez, attended by 42 Candon City barangay representatives to better prepare them for their respective local leagues.
On Saturday morning, before the games, attendees were over the moon when they had the opportunity to step onto the official PVL court for their practical exam.
