A BREAKTHROUGH title for guest team Platinum Karaoke, finally.

Showing it wanted it more, Platinum nipped Cavitex 13-12 yesterday to bag the crown in Leg 4 of the PBA 3×3 Season 2 Second Conference at Robinsons Malabon.

TH Tumalip led Platinum Karaoke with six points, including a clutch two-pointer that gave his team a 13-10 cushion, while Brandon Bates chipped in four markers, four rebounds and two blocks

Nico Salva also added three points as Platinum’s took home P100,000 with its maiden diadem after finishing runner-up in two legs and winding up as bridesmaid in two conference grand finals.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Altamirano said, whose wards placed second to Limitless in the First Conference Leg 2 and finale in the inaugural season and fell short anew in their golden bids against TNT in the kickoff leg and Grand Finals of the current season’s opening conference. “Matagal na naming pinaghihirapan ito. We’ve gone through so many adversities and challenges.”

“But we’ve always believed in God’s timing and today, God rewarded our hard work,” he added.

Jorey Napoles scored six points for the Braves, who settled for the P50,000 prize. His deuce shoved Cavitex to within one at 13-12.

The Braves had a chance to pull the rug from under Platinum in the last 40 ticks but cold not get the job done.

Platinum stunned fancied TNT 13-12 in the quarterfinals and Leg 2 champion J&T Express 15-13 in the semifinals.

J&T edged Blackwater 22-20 in overtime in the battle for third and pocketed P30,000.
