THE Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National taekwondo team won two gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals in two prestigious tournaments recently in Chuncheon City, South Korea.
The nationals, composed of Arven Alcantara, coaches Christian Al Dela Cruz, Rani Ann Ortega, Raul Samson (Team delegation head) Dindo Simpao, Paul Romero, Israel Cesar Cantos, Justin Kobe Macario, Rodolfo Reyes, Jr. Joaquin Dominic Tuson, Patrick King Perez, Jeordan Dominguez, Enrico Raphael Mella, Kurt Bryan Barbosa, Laila Delo, Janna Dominique Oliva, Angelica Joyce Gaw, Juvenile Faye Crisostomo, Jocel Lyn Ninobla, Laeia Simoune Soria, and Baby Jessica Canabal collected five silver and three bronze medals in the Asian Taekwondo Championships last June 22-27, before plunging to action in the Chuncheon Korea Open Taekwondo Championships last June 29 to July 5, winning two gold, three silver and six bronze medals.
The nationals’ participation was supported by the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, and Milo.
