CUE aces Rubilen Amit and Chezka Centeno gun for billiards glory anew when they compete in the Kamui World Women’s 9-ball Championship starting today (Thursday in the US) at the Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Included in the elite field of 64 entries by invitation, Amit faces reigning European women’s 9-ball champion Margaret Fefilova of Belarus while Centeno takes on Hong Kong’s Wan Ka Kai in the opening stage, a double-round elimination, race-to-7 series.
The top 16 players after the two-round eliminations of the $148,000 event will advance to the knockout phase, a race-to-9 affair until the finals, where the the champion will take home the top prize of $30,000 (around P1.63 million).
