MEMBERS of the Philippine delegation to the Tokyo Paralympics and Monico Puentevella, the president of the weightlifting association that delivered the country’s first Olympic gold medal, grace the two-part session of the Philippine Sportswriters Association online Forum today.
Philippine chief of mission Francis “Kiko” Diaz and Paralympians Ernie Gawilan and Allain Ganapin will talk about the training and preparations the Filipinos made in their coming campaign for the Aug. 24-Sept. 5 multi-sports meet during the second part of the weekly public sports session presented by San Miguel Corp., Milo, Amelie Hotel Manila, Braska Restaurant, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
Puentevella, president of the Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas, opens the public sports program at 10a.m. as he bares the plans of the federation moving forward in the wake of Hidilyn Diaz’s historic golden triumph in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics.
