ASIAN Games gold medalist Dennis Orcollo sustained his winning ways in the US Open Pool Championship yesterday (Wednesday in the US), whipping American and former US 9-ball Open champ Corey Deuel 11-1 to enter the round-of-32 at the Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In picking up his second straight win in the winner’s bracket, Orcollo, who bagged the men’s 9-ball gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games, advanced against Hungary’s Oliver Szolnoki for a spot in the round-of-16 at 1 p.m. (1 a.m. in Manila) today.

Also a three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, the veteran cue ace beat American Paul Spaanstra 9-2 in the first round.
