NU, UP seek fourth straight wins

ALTHOUGH his charges have scored big wins over defending champion Ateneo and fancied La Salle, National University coach Karl Dimaculangan insisted they should not keep their feet off the pedal.

The Lady Bulldogs’ grit will be tested anew when they battle winless University of the East today in the 84th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

The curtain-raiser is set at 10 a.m. before the Blue Eagles try to crash the winner’s circle against Far Eastern University at noon.

Also holding a 3-0 card like NU, University of the Philippines collides with Adamson University at 4 p.m.

In the nightcap, the Lady Spikers and University of Santo Tomas eye to rebound from their losses the last time out when they clash at 6 p.m.

“Ang mga players, hindi pa rin sila satisfied sa games. Siguro i-e-celebrate namin ngayong araw na ito ang panalo na ito, but parang job’s not yet finished pa,” Dimaculangan said after the Lady Bulldogs’ 25-22, 25-15, 25-19 triumph over La Salle two days ago.

“Sana hindi pa kami satisfied hanggang sa ma-reach namin iyong goal namin,” he added.

The likes of Princess Robles, Mhicaela Belen, Ivy Lacsina, Alyssa Solomon, Camille Lamina, Sheena Toring, and Erin Pangilinan.

The Lady Warriors, coming off a close 19-25, 25-15, 25-20, 17-25, 15-10 loss to the Lady Tamaraws last Tuesday that dropped them to 0-3, will pin their hopes on Janeca Lana, Dara Nierva, Jen Zeta, and Von Dimaculangan.
