NU belles bid to keep surge going

Under constant pressure due to its unbeaten record and a possible elimination round sweep that goes with an outright finals slot, National University coach Karl Dimaculangan wants his belles to rise to the challenge.

“Kailangan kasi namin ng proper mind set towards the end of the elimination, and kailangan namin maging ready sa last two games namin. Feeling din namin sa coaching staff and sa players may pressure,” Dimaculangan said.

“So, ang magiging mentality na lang namin is una is iyon ang may control kami, kaya kami talaga nagtrabaho talaga sa ensayo namin. Iyong lahat sa loob ng court mga ganyang bagay parang siguro in-embrace na lang namin iyong pressure kumbaga parang nandiyan lang iyan,” he added.

The match is set at 12:30 o’clock before reigning champion Ateneo battles archnemesis La Salle in a crucial duel at 4 p.m.

University of Santo Tomas seeks to gain a Final Four berth when it tangles with winless University of the East in the curtain-raiser at 10 a.m. University of the Philippines takes on Adamson University in the nightcap at 6:30 p.m.
