TEAMS continue to boost their respective line-ups for the PVL’s new season this year.
Over the weekend, the PLDT High Speed Hitters, Creamline Cool Smashers and Akari Chargers introduced their newest acquisitions for the season-opening conference set next month.
The High Speed Hitters had an impressive off-season recruitment, signing up veteran spikers in opposite hitter Kianna Dy, middle blocker Majoy Baron and setter Kim Fajardo from the defunct F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
The trio will be reconnected with their ex-La Salle teammate Mika Reyes with PLDT and are anticipated to provide a big boost along with High Speed Hitters’ ace Savannah Davison, Rhea Dimaculangan and Dell Palomata.
“Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary sometimes. But at the same time, that’s when you realize that you can learn so much more from new coaches and teammates,” Dy, who spent seven years with the Cargo Movers, said in a statement.
“Knowing that there’s still so much to learn inspires me to thrive and work harder. It’s going to take a lot of hard work, but I hope we can meet the expectations set for us here in PLDT,” she added.
