DEPARTING from previous practice, the national Milo Marathon will be back full blast this year, kicking off its 15-leg race series with simultaneous competitions in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Batangas and Mandaue, Cebu on April 7.
The country’s longest running footrace will have its elimination races in Manila on April 28, followed by legs in Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Legazpi, Albay; and Vermosa in Imus, Cavite on May 12, June 2 and Sept. 22, respectively.
The races swinging over to the Visayas with stops in Tagbilaran, Bohol (Sept. 29), Roxas City, Capiz (Oct. 6), Iloilo City (Oct. 20), and Bacolod City, Negros Occidental (Oct. 27).
The Mindanao stops will be in General Santos City, the home of ring icon Manny Pacquiao, on Nov. 10; Davao City on Nov. 17 before the races head back to Luzon for the penultimate stop in Tarlac on Nov. 24.
The top finishers from the previous legs will make it to the national Milo Marathon finals on Dec. 1 in Cagayan de Oro City.
