FAR Eastern University intends to continue improving in the off-season and gain lessons in the tourneys the Lady Tamaraws will join.
After a last-place finish in the 84th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament two years ago, FEU finished fifth last year, and crashed the Final Four in the last volley wars.
FEU also wound up as bridesmaid in the Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals last week.
Among the players shone for the Taft-based belles in the SSL were Best Middle Blocker Jean Asis, playmaker Tin Ubaldo, outside hitters Chenie Tagaod and Gerzel Petallo, while Jaz Ellarina, who served her residency last season after leaving National University, also showed flashes of brilliance.
Refugia said the Lady Tamaraws will see action in two more meets–one of those is the V-League Collegiate Challenge which will begin on July 28.
He also said FEU is waiting for the arrival of its recruits from this year’s Palarong Pambansa in Cebu City.
