LA Salle tries to stay unbeaten when it battles University of East today in the 85th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Lady Spikers and the Lady Red Warriors clash in the curtain-raiser of another quadruple bill at 10 a.m.
The Taft-based squad stretched its winning streak to three last Sunday after blanking Ateneo 25-16, 25-20, 25-13.
Rookie Angel Canino, along with Jolina Dela Cruz, Thea Gagate, Fifi Sharma, Leila Cruz, and skipper Marionne Alba are expected to show the way for La Salle.
The Lady Red Warriors absorbed their third loss in a row 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, 20-25 against the University of the Philippines three days ago.
The Lady Red Warriors will rely on Janica Lana, Vanessa Bangayan, Dara Nieva, KC Cepada, Jhudielle Quizon and Lia Pelaga.
The Blue Eagles and the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws square off at noon. Ateneo and FEU have identical 1-2 cards.
The Lady Tamaraws lost to Adamson University last Saturday 21-25, 26-24, 14-25, 21-25.
