WHILE La Salle is keeping its sights trained on its title-retention bid in the 86th UAAP season, the Lady Spikers’ title conquest in the Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals will only make them better.
Even without reigning Rookie-MVP Angel Canino and veteran libero Justine Jazareno, La Salle bagged the title following a 25-19, 25-22, 25-17 victory over Adamson University in the winner-take-all duel last Sunday.
“Maganda ito kasi nakita naman natin iyong level (ng team), although hindi naman lahat ng UAAP (teams) nandito, nandito iyong provincial (teams), pero hindi mo masusukat ng ganitong ano lang iyong lakas ng team mo kung hindi mo makikita lahat iyong ibang team na makakalaban mo sa UAAP,” Lady Spikers assistant coach Noel Orcullo said.
