LETRAN tries to forge a five-way tie for second when it faces San Sebastian College today in the 98th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex.

The Lady Knights go up against the Lady Stags at noon in the first game of a quadruple bill.

Letran, which currently has a 2-1 card, looks to join Arellano University, Perpetual Help, Lyceum, and Mapua University behind defending champion College of St. Benilde.

The Intramuros-based belles notched their second straight win last Tuesday at the expense of Emilio Aguinaldo College 19-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-12.

“Lahat naman determined maka-kuha ng panalo dahil one round (eliminations) lang tayo so every game counts. So, same thing lang basta mag-enjoy lang (iyong team), gumalaw sila ng maayos,” Lady Knights coach Mike Inoferio said.

“Lahat naman iyan, alam na (nila), i-remind lang sa kanila kasi mga bata pa sila,” he added.

Judiel Nitura, Chamberlaine Cunada, Angelique Ledesma, Jade Isar, and Lea Tapang are expected to lead the way for Letran.

The Lady Stags absorbed their third straight loss following a five-set meltdown 26-24, 21-25, 25-27, 25-21, 12-15 against Mapua last Sunday.

San Sebastian will rely on Kristine Dionisio along with Kath Santos, Amaka Tan, Tina Marasigan, and Jassy Lumibao.
