ADAMSON University claimed the No. 3 seeding in the Final Four by essaying a 25-22, 26-28, 25-15, 25-17 victory over Far Eastern University yesterday as the eliminations of the 85th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament ended at The Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Falcons’ victory relegated University of Santo Tomas to No. 4 going into the semis,
Kate Santiago led Adamson with 21 points, rookie Trisha Tubu fired 18 markers, while Lucille Almonte tallied a triple-double outing of 10 points, 22 excellent receptions and 16 digs as Adamson scored its second straight win.
Adamson will face reigning champion and No. 2 seed National University in the Final Four while UST will take on top-ranked De La Salle University. The Lady Bulldogs and Lady Spikers hold a twice-to-beat edge after ending their elims campaign with 13-2 and 11-3 marks.
