NATIONAL University’s women’s team has lost a UAAP game for the first time in seven seasons.
La Salle, the last team to beat NU, showed tremendous grit and will in stopping the Lady Bulldogs’ 109-game winning streak, posting a thrilling 61-57 overtime win yesterday in the UAAP Season 85 basketball tournament at the Quadricentennial Pavillion on Espana.
The last time NU lost was on Oct 5, 2013 when it absorbed a 61-69 defeat handed by La Salle in Game 3 of the Season 76 finals.
