DEFENDING two-time champion College of St. Benilde downed San Sebastian College 25-13, 23-25, 25-13, 25-14 yesterday for its fourth straight win in the NCAA Season 99 women’s volleyball event at The Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Blazers regained the top spot at 4-0 with the help of Weilyn Estoque who fired 11 points and four excellent receptions, while skipper Jessa Dorog and graduating player Michelle Gamit scored 10 markers apiece.
Setter Cloanne Mondonedo dished out 19 excellent sets along with six points, four from service aces, as Jade Gentapa and Zam Nolasco had a combined 17 markers in the hour and 40 minutes battle.
Kath Santos paced San Sebastian, which remained winless after four games, with 17 points, while team captain Amaka Tan delivered 12 markers.
Later, Perpetual Help tripped Mapua University 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 25-20.
