ILOILO’S Jade Disquitado will take on familiar faces as the D’Navigators collide with the Sta. Rosa City Lions today while unbeaten AMC-Cotabato guns for a fifth straight win in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference at the Paco Arena.
Disquitado, who played for Sta. Rosa in the last edition of the country’s premier men’s volley pro league, braces for a tough, highly competitive but friendly match against his former teammates, now headed by Yoyong Mendoza and Jerico Adajar.
The D’Navigators wavered after sweeping the first two sets against the Navy Sealions last Wednesday but recovered in time to escape with a five-set win that stretched their win run to five.
The game is at 5:30 p.m. with the D’Navigators wary of the City Lions, who swept their last three games after dropping the first four to keep their slim semis hopes alive.
The Cotabato Spikers also set out to stretch their roll to five following a stroll over the defending champion National U Builders the other night as they battle the AJAA Spikers in the 3 p.m. opener.
