Skipper Mika Reyes and Savannah Davison also combined for 12 points as the belles of coach Rald Ricafort rose to 5-1.

The Highrisers fell to 0-6.

“Iyong first set hindi namin nagustuhan since and dami na namang lapses so kailangan i-address ulit sa training,” Ricafort said. “Pero after ng first set medyo okay na.”

Andrea Marzan was the lone bright spot for Galeries Tower with 11 points.

Later, F2 Logistics blasted Gerflor 25-10, 25-16, 25-14 for its second victory in a row.

Ara Galang tallied 11 points and 11 excellent digs for the Cargo Movers, while team captain Aby Maraño and Ivy Lacsina had 10 markers each.

F2 improved to 4-2, while the Defenders remained winless in six matches.

“Of course, it’s a good boost for the team for the next game with the defending champion (Creamline), but I told them that this is good preparation for the next game, and we cannot be complacent,” Movers’ strategist Regine Diego said.

“Lastly, it is essential to respect the opponent, not just react based on who you’re playing against. I told them that if they get too close to their opponents, it means they are not respecting them.”

Danika Gendrauli paced the Defenders with 11 points, while Menchi Tubiera and Angelei Jingco combined for 13.
