NEWLY-appointed Petro Gazz coach Timmy Sto. Tomas is looking forward to leading the Angels to the Promised Land anew and continue the winning culture of the team in the PVL.

He was the assistant of Almadro at the Angels earlier this year and also Almadro’s deputy in Ateneo in 2018.

Almadro earlier last month was promoted as head of Petro Gazz’s volleyball operations.

Sto. Tomas will bank on Aiza Pontillas, Grethcel Soltones, Jonah Sabete, Djanel Cheng, and Remy Palma in the All-Filipino Conference set to start in October.

“I would like to thank the Petro Gazz management for giving me the chance to lead this team. Being able to lead the Petro Gazz Angels is both an opportunity and a responsibility,” Sto. Tomas said in a statement.

“An opportunity to learn from and guide such a talented pool of players is every coach’s dream. It is also a responsibility to continue the winning legacy that this team has. I am looking forward to what is in it,” he added.

Petro Gazz is raring to reach the podium anew this year and capture the title in the import-less tilt.

The Angels settled for a runner-up finish in the All-Filipino Conference after losing to the Creamline Cool Smashers last month.
