CLARISSA Guce outshone Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina until the end yesterday, shooting a 72 to wind up in a nine-way tie for 38th place at the close of the Volunteers of America Classic at the Old American Golf Club in Texas.
Guce had a four-round tally of 282 over the par-71, 6,475-yard course and earned $,7,245 (roughly P357,000) as she finished 14 strokes behind South Korean winner Jin Young Ko, who had a 69-268 to pocket the top prize of P11 million.
Olympic bound Pagdanganan finished with a 72-284 and was lumped in a six-way deadlock at 56th, winning $3,994 (P196,580), while Ardina was a stroke behind, winding up with 72-285 in a tie for two others at 63rd place and got $3,493 (P172,185).
