DEFENDING champion La Salle is leaving no room for complacency.

The Lady Spikers walloped University of the Philippines 25-15, 25-17, 25-18 last Sunday for their fifth straight win and gained a share of second in the 86th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.

Despite the convincing win, reigning MVP Angel Canino said the green and white side should improve its communication inside the court.

“I think for me, iyong skills namin nandiyan na po. Iyong kulang na lang po talaga, iyong sinasabi ni coach Noel (Orcullo) na connection tsaka iyong communication namin inside kasi everything is given to us already,” Canino said.

“Sobrang importante ng defense kay coach Ramil (de Jesus). Facing NU next week, kailangan namin i-work iyan. Hindi naman sa defense lang din kami sa practice kasi mas known kami dun and mas kailangan pa naming paghandaan iyon,” she added.
