VETERAN spiker Jovelyn Gonzaga has returned to Cignal after three years and is expected to boost the HD Spikers’ campaign in the PVL Invitational Conference later this month.
The HD Spikers bared last Wednesday night that “Sgt. Gonzaga reporting for Team Awesome duty.”
In the past seasons, Gonzaga, a military personnel, had bannered the Philippine Army in the PVL and became a steady weapon for the Lady Troopers.
Before her stint with Army, Gonzaga, 31, wore the HD Spikers jersey from 2017 to 2020 in the Philippine Superliga.
The Lady Troopers will skip the Invitationals, set to begin on June 29, due to military training.
“Masaya ako at nakabalik ako sa Cignal, marami akong pinagdaanan sa team na ito,” Gonzaga said via the HD Spikers’ Facebook page.
