DESPITE making the cut, misfortune continued to hound Bianca Pagdanganan, who shot a woeful 78 yesterday (Saturday in the US) for a four-way tie for 69th after three rounds of the 71st KPMG Women’s Championship at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.
Pagdanganganan, who narrowly made the cut by one stroke after shooting 74 and 77, respectively, continued her slide with nines of 40 and 38, respectively, over the par 72, 6,604-yard course at the new headquarters of the PGA of America.
The two-time Olympian had a total of 229, 19 strokes behind Australian pacesetter Minjin Lee, who carded a 69 and held a four-stroke lead over Thai JeenoThitikul with one round left in the women’s major offering a top prize of $2.4 million (around P137.722 million) to the winner.
