DUE to the dangers posed by typhoon “Karding,” games in the PBA, NCAA and Shakey’s Super League scheduled yesterday were called off.

Reset to a later date by the PBA Commissioner’s Office were the matches pitting Meralco against NLEX and Converge versus Ginebra at the Mall of Asia Arena.

NCAA games at The Arena in San Juan between Jose Rizal University against College of Saint Benilde and San Beda against Perpetual were also postponed, along with four games in the Shakey’s Super League at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Called off were the Pool D clash between Letran and College of St. Benilde, the Pool B pairings of Emilio Aguinaldo College against Adamson University and University of Sto. Tomas against Lyceum of the Philippines University as well as the University of the Philippines and Mapua University Pool A showdown.

“The organizers decided to cancel today’s games, Sept. 25, Sunday, at Rizal Memorial Coliseum due to Super Typhoon Karding that is expected to make landfall today,” the SSL organizer, Athletic Events and Sports Management, Inc., announced in a statement.

Matches for October 1 and 2 will be adjusted to accommodate the postponed September 25 games.

Tickets for the September 25 playdate will be honored on the new schedule.
