ALL is not lost for pro leagues.
Although contact sports are prohibited under the Alert Level 3 status now in effect in Metro Manila, pro leagues can still hold tourneys under a full bubble set-up.
The Games and Amusements Board announced the Joint Administrative Order No. 2020-0001: Guidelines on the Conduct of Health — Enhancing Physical Activities and Sports during the COVID-19 pandemic will strictly be adhered to for professional leagues to resume.
“All contact sports (such as boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, basketball, volleyball, football) competition and training shall be suspended except those conducted under a bubble-type set-up as provided for under relevant guidelines adopted by the IATF and Games and Amusements Board (GAB) and approved by the Local Government Unit (LGU) where such events shall be held,” the GAB memorandum read.
Spectators can watch the games live if local government unit allows it.
