WITH Alexa Pino and Natalie Collins scoring a brace each, the Young Filipinas swamped Indonesia 6-0 last Monday night for a rousing start in Group A of the Asian Football Confederation Under-17 Women’s Asian Cup in Bali, Indonesia.

Before a stunned hometown crowd at the Kapten 1 Wayan Dipta Stadium, Pino began the ball rolling for the Filipinas by scoring in the sixth minute and had her second in the 35th while Collins capped their finish with a flourish, scoring goals in the 54th and 62nd minutes.

Jael Marie Guy and Ariana Markey added a goal each in the 22nd and 29th minutes, respectively, as the Filipinas posted a 4-0 halftime lead on the way to their smashing debut win in the age-group tournament.

Claudia Scheunemann scored the Indons’ solitary goal in the 12th in the competition where three slots for the FIFA Under-17 Women’s Cup in the Dominican Republic in October are up for grabs.
