LOCAL fans who haven’t had enough of the Filipinas, led by McDaniel siblings Olivia and Chandler, can still watch some of them in action in the ongoing Coca-Cola Philippine Football Federation Women’s League.

While staying in Manila after their historic and memorable outing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand, ace goalkeeper Olivia and forward Chandler will see action in some games for Stallion Laguna FC, according to SLFC coach Ernie Nierras.

“They (the McDaniel) sisters are already in our roster and could play some games with us until they return to the US. We know that their presence will be a great boost to the league,” said Nierrras, whose ties to the McDaniels go back since they were in youth football.

“It’s great that my daughters are playing. It’s wonderful,” said their father, Clint McDaniel, who has known Nierras for over a decade and whose son, Finn, plays for the men’s squad and the Azkals, the national men’s team.

It has been a whirlwind of activity for the national women’s football team since they arrived last Aug. 2 from their historic and memorable outing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

They were feted by President Marcos Jr. and First Lady Lisa Araneta Macos in a “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” in Malacanang last Sunday night and were also treated to a motorcade around Taguig City arranged by Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano and Taguig Mayo Lani Cayetano.

Accompanied by Philippine Football Federation president Mariano Araneta, they also were feted over the weekend by businessman-sportsman Manny V. Pangilinan and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas chief Al Panlilio.
