MAKATI FC will field in four teams in the Cup No. 1 and Gothia World Youth Cup football tournaments in Europe.
The 59-strong delegation left Saturday night for Copenhagen, Denmark as Makati FC’s Boys 11 and 13, Girls 12 and 14 squads are ready to compete against the world’s best youth clubs.
Makati FC’s first stop is Cup No. 1 a youth football tournament for boys and girls which started in 1984. The 38th edition is set on July 11 to 15 in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
In 2018, Makati FC became champions in the Boys 13 division and was runners-up in the Boys 14 final. Makati FC’s Boys 11 topped the 2015 competition.
In the second stop of the Europe swing, Makati FC is among the Gothia Cup regulars, as the top Philippine youth football club participated for 37 straight years through the efforts of founder Tomas Lozano.
The world’s largest and most international youth football tournament, the 47th edition will be played on July 17 to 22 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
