MAKATI FC copped two championships in the 2023 Malaysia Borneo Football Cup recently in Kota Kinabalu.
The decorated Philippine youth club ruled the Boys Under 12 tournament for the first time ever following a 2-1 victory over FC Setia Alam of Malaysia.
Sho Hakamata and RaFa Aprilio were on target for Makati FC.
In the Boys Under 13, Makati FC also won its first championship at the expense of TABS Malaysia 3-0.
Alphan Lomibao, Bryant Monsanto and Jomong Ortigas entered the scoresheet for Makati FC, which surpassed 2019 runner-up finish where it lost to Indonesia’s IJL Elite in the U13 Final.
Club President SeLu Lozano was satisfied with the way the Makati FC teams performed this year.
