MAKING its pitch for grassroots football development, Ayala-owned Arca South held its first Arca South Invitational Football Cup that drew over 300 young booters of its FIFA-certified pitch, home of the Barca Academy Manila, in Taguig City last week.

Gilbert Ramos, Ayala Land Estates senior project development head, said the two-day football festival had competitions in the under-six-year-old, under-eight, under-10, under-12 and under-14 age groups under the supervision of Barca Academy Manila coaches and instructors.

“The success of our first Invitational Cup reflects what Arca South stands for: building an inclusive community through passion, sportsmanship, and shared experiences,” noted Ramos, who was pleased by the huge number of players who took part despite the rainy weather.

“Seeing hundreds of young talents thrive and cheer each other on is exactly what the Arca South community is about,” he noted of the event held at the modern 74-hectare urban estate that is being developed as a major business and lifestyle hub south of Metro Manila.

“This Cup is the start of a tradition—one that brings people together in a vibrant, supportive environment and helps youth football reach new heights.”
