NATIONAL men’s football squad mentor Albert Capellas of Spain and former national booters Aly Borromeo and Misagh Bahadoran will be on hand on Saturday as the Asean Mitsubishi Electric Cup Trophy makes its last stop for free public viewing at the Glorietta Mall Activity Center in Makati.
Capellas, striker Bahadoran and former national skipper and defensive linchpin Borromeo will be present during the trophy showing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. that will also feature TV actress-singer Ornella Brianna to spice up the affair.
Both players will assist Capellas in conducting a clinic for aspiring young footballers based on the “Okada” method, devised by the highly respected former Japan national team coach Takeshi Okada.
Entry to the event is free and is open to the public with passes for exclusive Meet & Greet sessions available to be won via the Asean United FC aseanutd.com and social media platforms.
Fans attending the event will also have the opportunity to win exclusive Asean Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 merchandise at game booths and take photographs together with the trophy that will be awarded to the champion of the regional men’s football showcase.
The Philippines has been drawn in Group B of the tournament that also includes Vietnam, Indonesia Myanmar and Laos while Group A is made up of defending champion Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and playoff winner Timor-Leste.
The Asean Mitsubishi Electric Cup Trophy tour had earlier stops in Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Hanoi, Vietnam and Jakarta, Indonesia.
